Genesis

K.V. No.-1 Raipur came into existence in 1982 by the virtue of initiatives taken by the authorities of S.E.C Railway to meet the educational needs of the children of its employees. It was a humble start with four pucca rooms. Presently, it sprawls over 14.9 acres with mammoth buildings in a pentagonal shape. The school has not seen back since its inception and flourished strength to strength since then. The land has been acquired on lease from S.E.C Railway for 99 years. The new school building came up in year 1992 and was inaugurated by the then G.M, S.E.C Railway, Mr. Vaithiswaran. The overwhelming response from the people of the area prompted the opening of double shift in 2005. Till date the schools is running in two shifts, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
